Luxury travel
Your luxury trip begins in the 5-star Kempinski Hotel in Havana. Discover the old town with your German-speaking guide and enjoy the authentic Cuban nightlife in the evening! This trip also takes you to the idyllic little town of Cienfuegos, the UNESCO cultural heritage old town of Trinidad and the white beaches of Cayo Santa María. Enjoy exclusive boutique or premium casas and unique Cuban food throughout the trip.
This is where your luxury trip through Cuba begins and you will be met at Havana airport by your German-speaking tour guide. You will be taken to your first accommodation, the Kempinski Hotel in Havana’s old town, in a private vintage car with a chauffeur. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the pool and enjoy your first day in Cuba! If you want to explore the nightlife of the Caribbean metropolis on your first evening, your travel guide has exclusive tips for you.
On the second day of your luxury trip to Cuba, you will discover Havana on a private city tour, first on foot. After a long lunch in a restaurant selected by us, you will explore the magnificent outskirts of Havana in a vintage car. Your guide will of course be at your disposal the whole time and will answer all your questions.
Today your luxury trip through Cuba takes you to Cienfuegos. Here you will stay in one of our most exclusive Deluxe Casas.
The idyllic little town surprises with its well-preserved colonial old town and is home to some of the most beautiful buildings in the country. The villa of a former sugar baron at the end of the long beach promenade is a special highlight and reminds of the city’s former importance as a center of the sugar industry. Enjoy the beautiful view of the sea from the local Malecón and treat yourself to a refreshing mojito.
Your individual luxury trip through Cuba begins today with an extensive, typically Cuban breakfast of the highest quality. Once you’ve had enough energy, you’ll continue on to Trinidad, a tranquil place where you can practically breathe in the nostalgic flair of Cuba.
The charismatic colonial town has a very well-preserved city center full of magnificent colonial buildings and a lively music and cultural scene for your evening entertainment. You will stay in the best hotel in Trinidad and have time to explore the picturesque town over the next few days. We would be happy to organize a city tour for you with a German-speaking guide who will tell you more about the history of Trinidad.
The area surrounding the city also offers many beautiful destinations. Spend your days as you wish and enjoy beaches and national parks or take a little trip with your chauffeur to spectacular viewpoints and former sugar plantations.
After the eventful days full of new impressions and experiences, your luxury trip through Cuba now takes a more relaxed direction and you set course for Cayo Santa María. On the way to Cayo Santa María, your chauffeur can make a few stops for you in interesting places, such as Santa Clara.
Once you arrive in Cayo Santa María, you can pamper yourself in the best luxury hotel on the paradisiacal island and enjoy one of the best services in all of Cuba. Spend a few wonderful days on the white, fine sandy beaches, swim in the crystal-clear waters of the hotel’s own beach and make the most of the idyllic peace and seclusion of the island. Review the experiences of your luxury trip through Cuba and end it with pleasure.
Today your luxury trip through Cuba ends and you will of course be driven back to the airport in Havana by private transfer. Well rested and with many new impressions of Cuba, you will start your journey home. Have a good flight!
The capital of Cuba offers you countless opportunities for great leisure activities! Discover our tips for exclusive activities in Havana…
Cuba is very safe for its residents and tourists. This is also because Cubans know how important tourists are for the economy in their country. However, we recommend paying attention to the following:
We are often asked for useful souvenirs for the people of Cuba.
Body care products, deodorant, soap, perfume, etc. are welcome gifts because they are either very expensive locally or the quality leaves much to be desired. Writing utensils, balloons (for the children) and sweets are also welcome.
However, we recommend that you do not hand out such small gifts indiscriminately on the street, but give them away on suitable occasions (to hosts, particularly friendly or helpful people). As long as you do not overdo it with the quantities, customs will not be interested in them when you enter the country. Alternatively, you can support a local social project and, for example, take on a sponsorship with Kuba Hilfe in order to ensure that disadvantaged children receive a good education. You can find more information here: http://www.kuba-hilfe.de/
At the moment, the import of GPS-enabled devices, including GPS-enabled smartphones, is (actually) prohibited. As I said: “actually”. We have never heard of a case in which Cuban customs officials confiscated a cell phone from someone upon entry. The same applies to GPS trackers.
We keep hearing that GPS-enabled devices don’t work in Cuba. That’s not entirely true. In the Sierra Maestra, we had a GPS tracker with us on our hike and it worked perfectly.
In the meantime, the laws in this area are being relaxed step by step. Nevertheless, GPS navigation systems are still not allowed in Cuba. It is best to get a map in advance or install an offline map. That’s what we do when we travel with Cuba Buddy. One recommendation that we use ourselves is Map of Cuba offline.
If you need more tips, please feel free to ask us. The current apps have the advantage that they contain street directories, maps, points of interest, etc. and you can also enter your accommodation, for example.
We can also recommend Maps.Me, as the app works great offline. Install the apps while you are still in Germany and start them to test them. Often some settings still need to be updated or maps downloaded. So really take a short time in Germany and test all the apps. Try to see it as the start of your Cuba adventure. That way it will be more fun and easier.
The Cuban power grid operates on 110 V/60 Hz alternating current. Sockets and plugs are American-style, so bringing an adapter is highly recommended. There are a few 220 V sockets. It is important to know that Cuba suffers from power shortages. In order to save electricity, power cuts are carried out, especially outside of tourist centers, which can also lead to disruptions in the water supply and communication.

Of course, depending on how you travel through Cuba, you’ll need different equipment. If you’re taking a sailing tour along the cays, you’ll probably need less mosquito repellent than the birdwatchers in the swamp of Cienega de Zapata National Park.
