Overview
This walking tour of Havana takes you to the most iconic and important places in Havana's historic center, such as Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco, Plaza Vieja, and Plaza de la Catedral. Your local guide will introduce you to authentic city life.
Havana is a lively and vibrant city, and the best way to explore it is with a local. Your guide will pick you up promptly at the meeting point in front of the Gran Manzana Kempinski , and you’ll begin the tour with the most iconic and important sites in Havana’s historic center. You’ll explore the four historic squares of the Old Town and the colonial side of Havana – Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja, and Plaza de la Catedral – with their rich history and culture, a historic book market, and beautiful little alleys to explore.
Afterwards, we’ll continue with a leisurely stroll along the Paseo del Prado. This historic, leafy promenade connects the Old Town with Centro Havana and leads you to the Malecón. Along the Paseo del Prado, you can explore, among other things, the Capitol, an imposing historic government building, and the Great Theater of Havana, with its magnificent 19th-century concert hall.
During the tour, you’ll learn about Cuba’s history, experience the changing face of city life, and experience Havana’s public life and atmosphere. The tour lasts between 3 and 4 hours. If you’d like to explore the city a bit more on your own, your guide will be happy to provide information and tips.
Note: If there is something you would like to see and it is possible to see it during the tour, please let your guide know at the beginning of the tour so that he/she can arrange it according to your wishes.
